Much of the southbound turn lane from Main to N. Dallas Parkway has been poured with the exception of the section immediate to the intersection. While other parts of the intersection are being completed, this particular section has been on hold. This turn lane is vital to the traffic in the adjacent neighborhoods. Shouldn't this be completed first?

According to Frank Jaromin, City Engineer:

During the construction of the turn lanes the City experienced pavement failures in the existing/future pavement which will handle the turn lane movements. Instead of connecting in to bad pavement I decided to remove more so the City of Frisco would not have to go back in the near future. We should have strength on the southbound lane which was constructed on the Toll Road to handle the turning movement while Site Concrete repairs and completes the turn lane. We are meeting with the contractor today to finalize the schedule on completing this work.
