Why does Frisco require pets to be vaccinated against rabies every year when Texas has changed the state law requirement to every 3 years as long as the 3 year vaccine is used? I am very concerned about overvaccination and very disappointed that the city requires us to pay for an unnecessary vaccination. What steps would the citizens of Frisco need to take to get this city ordinance changed to be more representative of the state law?

Beginning Monday, January 17, 2005, the City of Frisco will be assuming some of the responsibilities from the SPCA. As part of the change-over process, City staff is reviewing the Animal Control Ordinance. The vaccination requirements is part of the review process. If you have other questions or concerns, please contact Code Enforcement at (972) 335.5580, #188 or #137.
