Can someone give me an update on the progress of constructing Teel from High Shoals to Timber Ridge. The last update I saw stated that it should be well under way by now - but I have seen no progress. The GIS map doesn't show it at all and the construction projects update says "Service Unavailable" - and it doesn't seem to be updated very often when it is working.

Staff is preparing the project to start bidding early October with a three week bid with an opening on the week of October 22, then to City Council the first week of November. Then construction should start in about 6 weeks or mid December with a 9 month construction time frame.

If you would like to discuss this further please do not hesitate to contact me at 972-335-5580 ext 156

In relation to this roadway, I noticed on the way to work that the dirt road that parallels "Teel-to-be" was blocked off, and I had to take a detour over to 423 to get south.

What is happening to this dirt road, and how long will it be closed?

We have completed re-surfacing the gravel road with an asphalt chip seal driving surface. It is currently open to traffic. If you have other concerns, Please contact my office at 972-335-5520.
