I drove through downtown last night and they have started some construction in the streets. What are the plans there? Thanks

MAIN STREET, PHASE 3

Reconstruction of Main Street with concrete pavement, curb and gutter from Dallas North Tollway to Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railroad. This phase of the project includes decorative street lights within the median along with landscaping and irrigation.

Construction by Site Concrete on this project has begun and is expected to be complete in Summer 2005.

MAIN STREET, PHASE 4

Reconstruction of Main Street with concrete pavement, curb and gutter from BNSF Railroad to Preston Road including South County from Main Street to Hickory Street. Decorative street lights will be located on both sides of Main Street from BNSF Railroad to Preston Road.

This project includes a median from the BNSF Railroad to Gary Burns Drive with landscaping and irrigation. South County Road from Main Street to Hickory Street is also included in this phase and will be variable width with a 4' sidewalk located along the east side.

Construction by Tiseo Paving Company on this project has begun and is expected to be complete in June 2006.
