There is major traffic problem at FM 720 and FM 423. I realize that the intersection is under Little Elm's juristiction, but are there any plans to finish the intersection so it is at least reasonable?

Brian,

I am going to assume that you mean the intersection of Main and FM 423 where the Albertson's is located. If not, then please let me know.

Many citizens call Main in Frisco FM 720 since that is what it was until about 2 years ago when Main from Preston to FM 423 was removed from the State Highway System. The only remaining section of FM 720 left begins at the intersection of FM 423 and FM 720 in Little Elm. This is often referred to as the "Y" and is north of the Main and FM 423 location. FM 720 continues west from that point.

The current construction at Main and FM 423 will add a northbound right-turn lane, an eastbound right-turn lane, and northbound and southbound left-turn lanes. These are expected to be completed by the end April. These improvements will help this particular intersection.

Currently the intersection and the traffic signal are under TxDOT jurisdiction.

If you meant the intersection of FM 423 and FM 720 further north, let me know.

Thanks
