What can the city of Frisco do to make business owners and city departments more cognizant of the time limitations of citizens who work. It appears that so many departments and important offices (i.e doctor) are closed by 5pm. And have limited if any weekend hours. I recently moved to Frisco and find it very disturbing that I have to take a day off to have my tire changed or visit the dentist.

Mr. Slokovitz:

The City of Frisco endeavors to make its programs and activities available at the convenience of the citizens. We do have services that can be conducted before or after the regular workday. Also, there are web based opportunities to request of receive services at present. Additional opportunities will be added as the city grows.

Regarding private businesses, again, as Frisco develops there will undoubtedly be more commercial offerings providing services at convenient times.

In the meantime, we passed your question along to Ms. Audie Adkins, Executive Director of the Frisco Chamber of Commerce. Her phone number is (972) 335-9522. Ms. Adkins indicated that the Chamber will send this concern out to the Chamber members through their weekly email update to make members aware of this concern from one of Frisco’s citizens. She will ask for a response. She will also bring this issue up to the Chamber's Small Business Council which meets next Wednesday at noon.

Should you like to contact me directly, my number is (972)335-5551 ext 135.
