Why are the SH 121 signs at the Tollway/Dallas Parkway labelled "East" and "West" instead of "North" and "South"? All other SH 121 signs I have seen are "North" and "South", which is consistent with an odd-numbered Federal or State highway.

This has caused confusion for visitors to Frisco on at least two occasions - one was a relative of mine following MapQuest directions (which label SH 121 as North or South). The other was a stranger who stopped beside me at the light at Northbound Dallas Parkway and Gaylord asking about 121 North since all he saw was 121 East and West at the Tollway/Dallas Parkway & SH 121 intersection. He did not know which way to turn.

Mr. Fautheree,

SH 121 and the North Dallas Tollway are under the jurisdiction of the Texas Department of Transportation and the North Texas Tollway Authority, respectively. We will investigate this situation and forward a notice to the proper authorities. Thank you for drawing our attention to this situation.
