I live on the northern edge of Custer Creek Farms and noticed some orange flags staked out along the other side of the creek that seem to lead to the new sewer line across the creek from my property. Does this mean that another sewer line is going to built there? If so, when will this construction start? Also, will an attempt be made to maintain the trees along the creek?
Related to this: Is the City going to do any replanting to replace the trees and groundcover that were eliminated when the original sewer line was installed on that side of the creek this past year?

Corwin Engineer’s is working with the existing property owners on extending the sewer line to the northwest (Independence and Eldorado). Since this is a developer driven project I do not know their schedule at this time, but think construction could start within the year. The City is completing the drawings on Eldorado Parkway from Custer Road to Hillcrest. We will be constructing 2 westbound lanes and when that is complete in early 2005 it will open more of that corridor for development which ties to the need for the sewer line extension.
