What is the status for paving Eldorado Parkway (fm. 423 to North Dallas Tollway)? Who is responsible for setting the speed limit?

Amy,

TxDOT is planning to resurface and install new pavement markings along the roadway in the summer of 2004.

The widening of FM 2934 is currently under design. The design is scheduled to be completed by April 2004. Provided TxDOT funding is identified and available, construction could possibly begin in July 2005.

Denton County residents are urged to participate in the upcoming Denton County bond election. Denton County is currently in the process of determining which road projects they will fund. It is possible that some of this bond money could be used to help fund this or other road widening projects in the Denton County portion of Frisco.

TxDOT is responsible for setting the speed limit on FM 2934. Speed limits are periodically reviewed by TxDOT. In November 2002, the City of Frisco requested that TxDOT perform new speed studies along FM 2934 to see if the speed limit needed to be lowered. TxDOT completed those studies in January 2003 and based on the results, recommended that the speed limit remain 55mph.

Thanks

Hi Brian,

Whom should we contact to Denton Co Bond Election Office to find out, which roads are in this bond program and other details?

Thanks,

Shafi Haque

Shafi,

You can contact John Polster at 972-484-2525. He works for the consulting firm that is working for Denton County to identify the roads to be included in the bond election.

Thanks

We saw red stake (survey flag) on both sides of Eldorado Pkwy from west of DNT. Do, any one know, this is the beginning of Eldorado Pkwy expansion, which I am very much hope for.

Thanks and happy Holiday!

Currently there are four different engineering companies working in this area. I do not know which one is out staking right now, but it is for the Dallas North Toll Road, Eldorado Parkway, 48 water line or the proposed sub-division to the north design. For an update there will be a presentation on the Toll Road at the next City Council meeting you may want to attend.

If you require further information please call me at 972-335-5580 ext. 156.

I noticed some work going on at the southeast corner of Eldorado and 423. What is going on there and when will it be completed?

I apologize if you have previously addressed this, I looked in the archives but could not find anything.

The southeast corner of Eldorado and 423 is not in the City's jurisdiction. You will need to contact Little Elm for that information.

Thank you,
