I am in the process of purchasing a piece of property in the Greyhawk subdivision. The property in question has a serious standing water problem. The builder claims that the excess water is from the developer watering along Eldorado Parkway, and it appears that he is correct. The builder also claims that there is nothing that his company can do to remedy this situation.

I am concerned that this will become a mosquito breeding haven. Is there anything that the city can do to help with this situation, or is this strictly a home owners association issue?

With out knowing the location and topography, I cannot give you a clear answer. If the lot does not drain, the developer and builder have a problem and an obligation to correct the situation. If you will call this office at 972-335-5580 ext. 152, and give me the address, maybe I can give you a better answer.
