I'm unable to attend the park & recreation meeting this evening regarding the park plans for inlet & harbor. Can someone provide me with a synopsis of the meeting? Perhaps details on the plans and eta? Thank you.

The Parks & Recreation Agenda may be found by clicking on the left hand side of the City Secretary webpage under Boards & Commissions. If you have any difficulty locating an agenda, please contact Rick Wieland, Director of Parks & Recreation; Dudley Raymond, Planning and Capital Projects Superintendent or myself. Thank you! Nan

Is there any update on the start date for the Preston Manor park?

How often are the Parks and Recreation Board Agenda and minutes posting updated? The only agenda posted May 1. What about the June 12th meeting? Will the Parks agenda be posted with adequate notice for viewing like the Council and P&Z agendas are? I realize this may be an evolving process of placing this agenda on the website but a little more attention to this important Board's activities would be appreciated.

Mr. St. John,

The project was put on hold due to a flood-study being completed in this area. The study is almost finished and I have contacted the park consultant and asked them to take this project off of hold. I am expecting a revised schedule of completion from them in the next week or so. The revised schedule is needed so they can reflect their current work load and obligations.

The agendas must be posted at City Hall 72 hours prior to the meeting. I apologize for there not being more posted as of this writing. I had forwarded the June 12, 2003 agenda to the webmaster on Monday. I will double check to be sure why they are not there. Thank you for your patience. Nan.

Nan, thank you for your assistance. Would it be possible to have the parks agendas posted on the website before the meetings?

Dear Anonymous: We will make every effort to get all agendas on the website prior to the meeting. I know that we will not be able to provide the back up that goes with the agenda, but at least reading what discussion is going to take place beforehand, should be beneficial. Again, I appreciate your patience and continued understanding. Best regards, Nan.
