Is there any online resource to check the status of a Building Permit request? I am currently building a new home which is currently in the state of waiting for the city to issue the building permits. Is there a number I could call and have some one look it up by my address, or a website that might be able to give me this info.

Please check our web site at
Click on Departments
Click on Development Services
Click on Building Inspections
Click on Permit Information ONLINE
Click on Search Records
Click on Search by Job / Address
Enter the site address in the field & click on the search button. This should pull up the permit if the builder has submitted the plans for review. The review process usually takes less than 2 weeks from the time plans are submitted until the review is complete and a permit is issued.
You are also welcome to call me at (972) 335-5580 ext. 195 or email me at and I will be happy to look up that information for you.
If you need any more assistance, please let me know.
