What happened to the street lights on the intersection of Hillcrest and 720? The past few days they have not been on at all, making that intersection darker then usual... especially at 5:30am.

We have now contacted CoServ to have the street lights repaired. The scheduling and repair can take up to two weeks to complete. Thank you for your concerns.

It's been over two weeks and the street light on the SW corner of Hillcrest and 720 is still not working? Is it a matter of replacing a dead bulb, or re-wiring something. Again it's still dark at that intersection with the exception of the 7-11 parking lot.

Those making a right onto Hillcrest from 720 can't see the pit that at the corner where the pavement/curb of Hillcrest meets the blacktop pavement of 720.

Can this be looked into please?

This light was reported to CoServ on 9.04.02 and again on 9.26.02. I will check with them today and try to get a status.

What is the status of both street lights at the corner of Hillcrest and Main St. (720). I have reported them being out with my first post on Sept. 4th and they are still out as of this morning (10/22 @ 6am).

I see in the last post that you reported this outage on 9/4 and again on 9/26, and you apparently checked with them on 10/9. Care to follow up with us and explain why these lights have been unfunctioning for so long?

Originally this was supposed to take 2 weeks to complete, but it's now been 7 weeks... is some thing actually being done about this?

JP:

We have again contacted CoServ about these street lights. One of the lights required the ordering of materials for repair. The CoServ representative will check on the status of the other light and try to get them repaired as soon as possible.

Is there any way we can take action on CoServ?
We have reported street lights out at the Hunters Creek subdivision at least 4 times. It is very dangerous for young children to have lighting missing round the pocket park in the Arbor Trails section. Lights have been out since at least 9/14.

Please contact the Department of Public Works at 972-335-5520 so that we can verify specific street light locations. With the actual locations, we can contact CoServ for a repair record. Thank you for reporting these problems.

Gary,

Any update as to the street lights on Main St. and Hillcrest. It's been almost a month sincethe last update on this thread, and was wondering if CoServ is still waiting to receive the new light, or if there is something else holding up progress.

I can't believe it's taken 2.5 months since my first post regarding these street lights to get to this point, and their STILL not working.

Can something be done to make CoServ a bit more accountable for the city's servicing needs?

JP, this is the response I received from the person in charge of CoServ street light repairs today (11.27.02) "The light at Hillcrest and Main is burnt up. They are going to have to replace the head. We have located a head for it and will have it for installation on Monday. I am sorry I was not able to get it working before Thanksgiving for you all but it will be done on Monday."

Danny,
Is that response in regards to both lights, because it sounds like they are refering to only one. Remember there are 2 lights on that intersection (SW & SE corners) and both of them are not working.

That is referring to both street lights.

I called 972-335-5520 over a week ago and listed the location of the 10 street lights that are out in Hunters Creek. Is there any news from CoServe?
Please remember, some of these were originally reported to CoServe in mid September (and again since then at intervals).

We still have no news from CoServe about the lights out at Hunters Creek - have you heard anything from them?

Everyone keeps telling me CoServe will fix in 10-14 days. Obviosuly this does not happen. Who can help us? Remember, this has been going on since mid-September.....

Please. Please. Please. Help us.....

After we received your information about the street lights, we checked each location after dark. We provided this list to CoServ. They, in turn, must investigate each light to determine the type of repairs required and order parts if necessary. The delivery of parts can vary, but we always ask them to repair all lights as soon as possible. Thank you for your concern.

Please have someone fix the light on King Arthur Rd. In front of 7661. Light cycles on and off every five seconds. Really annoying and disturbing for anyone trying to sleep with their bedrooms facing the light. Just unplug the thing and I would be happy. It never works more than a couple of months and then starts on the blink again.

Thanks

Residents:

With the growth in Frisco, it is difficult to keep all of the street lights operating continuously. We will continue to contact the electric provider as soon as we have all of the required information to report a street light problem. You may contact CoServ directly at 1-800-274-4014 or emails can be sent to CoServ Customer Service. You may contact TXU at 1-800-242-9113, then press 1 for power outage, and then press 3 for street lights. You also can continue to use this message board, but if you remain anonymous, we can not contact you if we need additional information or clarification.

Please contact me at anytime for additional information at 972-335-5520.
