I just read an article about Plano homeowners' opposition to TXU replacing an existing powerline with a significantly taller, higher capacity line. Their map was pretty crude, but it shows the line running through Frisco somewhere between Preston and Coit. Is this the line running by Alpine & Highpoint Ridge of the Shepherds Hill subdivision? Is there any opposotion to TXU's plan in Frisco?

Yes the line will run between Alpine Court and High Point Ridge. TXU plans are to run the new line within the same easement. This easement is 100-feet wide between the two referenced streets. We have not heard of any opposition at this point. For further information on this project please contact Steve Matthews (With Oncore/TXU) at 972-396-6336.
