Hi! I have two concerns regarding the temporary (although it seems to be weekly or daily) constuction that occurs on the tollway.
1) When one lane is closed the lights on the tollway are timed so that only about 4 cars can get through, it seems. On the other hand, the few cars going east/west hardly have to wait at all!! This may be made worse by the high volume of trucks on the tollway that take forever to get through a light! Whatever the reason, I have a feeling this construction will become common for a few years - so something needs to be done to resolve this.
2) This situation could also be improved by marking well in advance of where the constuction is that there is consturction ahead. That way people could turn off and detour to another road. I have OFTEN come across a 'constuction ahead' sign - right where construction is starting - the sign is actually in the middle of the lane being closed - thus there is ablolutely no warning - very dangerous I believe. Is this legal?
Thank you for all your help
