They closed Castle Drive at Hillcrest and started some repair work (I think it was drainage)a while ago. After a day or two of work, nothing has happened for 10 days or so. People move the barricades every day and drive through to Hillcrest.

Two issues:
1. They need to finish this project ASAP. It states on the website that this should have been finished by the end of April. No work at all has been done in well over a week. I mean absolutely nothing.

2. What is the use of the barricades if people keep moving them out of the way (probably because they aren't seeing any progress at all)?

By the way, the same thing is going on at Red Cedar and Hillcrest. No progress and cars going through the barricades.

Sorry to vent, but it's quite an eyesore.

Speaking of eyesores, who is reponsible for cleaning up the traffic signs and barrels that are lying on the ground at the corner of Hillcrest and Warren Parkway? When can we expect that it will all be taken away?

The City is installing additional inlets to help get more of the water off Hillcrest Road and into the storm system. When installing the inlets the contractor ( Glenn Thurman) found phone, and gas lines in the way. Staff felt that relocating the lines would take up to 2 months we changed the type of inlets to be used, but the inlets were not priced in the contract. staff is working with the contractor on pricing of the revised inlets. This should be completed this week.
