I was curious about the nature of the proposed zoning change. I saw the signs and could not find any information on the Frisco web site. Perhaps I am not looking the correct spot?

The zoning case is a result of the Moratorium that the City initiated this year to bring some balance between the zoning and the anticipated traffic. The City has been working with several property owners on development agreeements to reduce the density allowed by the current zoning. The City is seeking this reduction to lower the anticipated traffic that would result if the property was developed under the full potential allowed by the current zoning.
To your original question - the zoning case was advertised to give the Planning & Zoning Commission and the City Council the flexibility to consider a variety of zoning districts in this moratorium area. This zoning case is planned to be withdrawn tonight provided that all the developer agreements are signed before the meeting tonight.
