I appreciate the work the FEDC has done in recruiting large companies to Frisco. I wonder if there is also a plan in place to recruit smaller, independent avant garde businesses (ie: restaurants, shops, etc.) that might add to our quality of life and further destinguish us from other suburbs in our region. Perhaps Knox-Henderson et al. could be a possible model.

The FEDC focuses primarily on the attraction of business clusters that include Corporate Headquarters, Information and Technology, Health and Life Sciences, Financial and Youth, Amateur and Professional Sports businesses. The FEDC provides assistance to all sizes of businesses from small to large. To generate the greatest economic benefit for the City of Frisco, the FEDC resources are focused on projects that we have the greatest opportunity to attract to Frisco and those that will generate a greater economic impact for the City. The FEDC has actively supported the development of retail centers that attract small retail and restaurants, such as Frisco Square, Stonebriar Commons on Legacy and the Shops at Starwood.
