Looks like there are three distinct structures being built. I believe there are supposed to be restrooms but what all is being added? Any new water features, covered seating, etc? It will be awesome having restrooms over there as well!

You are correct in that the elements being constructed are a set of restrooms as well as several covered seating areas. We are making every effort to have them completed as quickly as possible. No additional water features are being constructed.

How about a sun shade for the water area? That would certainly make it a bit easier and not have to worry about not having enough sunscreen to not melt in the summer sun.

It was considered but ultimately decided against. Although the shade would provide protection in the hotter times of the summer, it would also keep it cooler on those days either side of the hot times when the park could be used by shading it. The additional shade at the structures will allow users an area to cool off outside the splash pad, if needed.
