I have heard that Sprouts has landed the new development at the NE corner of Preston and Lebanon, along with Hobby Lobby, Mardel, Arby's, Bank of the Ozarks and Rosa's Mexican. Can you verify any of this and give potential opening dates. I thought Rosa's Mexican was going to be further south on Preston.

Joyce2,

There is a new retail development that will be constructed on this northeast corner. It is in the site plan and final plat review stage and should be going to the Planning & Zoning Commission very soon for their approval. As to the businesses that will be locating in the development we are only aware of Sprouts, Hobby Lobby, and Bank of the Ozarks. None of the other businesses that you have listed have made any type of application for site approval. They may very well be coming they just have not made any applications. As to Rosa's Mexican, we have not seen any applications for any location in Frisco as of today. Thank you for your email.

Has the P&Z commission approved the building of the stores you've mentioned above? So far I have only seen construction for the Bank of Ozarks. Thanks.

f8hngm,

The Planning & Zoning Commission approved a site plan and final plat for seven retail buildings on this site on July 25. The next phase of the project will begin with the construction of any necessary utility lines, parking, and fire lanes and access easements. Once that work is completed the developer can begin constructing the commercial buildings. Once the developer has been released for construction, the project timetable is set by the developer and city staff do not track construction timetables other than to insure that the project is moving forward. Thank you for your interest.
