I've seen a white police package Dodge Charger cruising around Frisco w. no markings. Is Frisco evaluating this for incorporation into it's fleet? What criteria do you use?

The Frisco Fire Department has one Dodge Charger assigned to Fire Marshal Don Fernandez. Chief Fernandez requested the Charger based on the recommendation of the Frisco Fire Fleet Manager. Certainly we communicate with the Police Department regarding vehicles but the use by the Fire Marshal is significantly different from the use by a Police Patrol vehicle.

The Fire Marshal is a Certified Police Officer who does make arrests but his focus the majority of the time is in other areas of responsibility. While the Charger is smaller than the vehicle previously assigned to him, I believe Chief Fernandez does like this vehicle and the performance of the car has been acceptable up to this point.

Let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you,
