I notice on the trash/disposal website that even via self-disposal at the Custer transfer station, dirt is an unacceptable item to discard. Is there any means of disposing of dirt/rocks/grass that has been removed from one's yard? (e.g., in order to improve one's landscaping, to add gardens, etc.)

Frisco is a member of the North Texas Municipal Water District and the latter operates the Custer transfer station. They consider dirt, rocks and grass to be construction waste and these must be taken to the Melissa Landfill,a link to a map is posted under the "do it yourself" disposl on our website. Regrettably this facility is quite a long way to travel, you may want to see if a builder in your neighborhood is looking for fill dirt.

Thanks for recycling!
