Are there any plans to include a dog park/run in any of the proposed parks? Given the number of pet owners in Frisco, this seems to me to be an amenity that would be desired by the residents.

Thank you for your note. I apologize for the delay in getting a response back to you. In regard to potential plans for a dog park in Frisco, I will tell you that the Parks and Recreation Board has discussed this quite a bit over the past couple of years.

While there is not current funding in place for a dog park, I do believe that the Board is open to working together with a support group to fund such a facility. Current projections on the acquisition of a site and development of a dog park would require approximately $1,000,000.

If you would like to provide additional support for such a facility, please feel free to let me or the Parks and Recreation Board know. I can be reached at the contact number and email address below and the Parks and Recreation Board meets every second Thursday of each month inside the City Council Chambers typically beginning at 6:30 pm. All meetings are open to the public and I feel certain that they would like to hear your input.

Thanks again for the note and feel free to let me or our staff know if you have any questions.
