I live in western Frisco near Teel and Main and I have noticed that the water quality has decreased over the last several weeks. The water seems to have an odor and it tastes bad as well. The water is not like this all the time, just every once in a while.

I was wondering if Frisco is/was doing anything with their water system that might be the cause of this?

The City of Frisco purchases treated water from the North Texas Municipal Water District that meets or exceeds all state and federal standards. We do not need to provide any additional treatment. Taste and odor problems are usually caused by algae blooms in the lake. The water plant continuously treats for taste and odor problems. The lower lake levels due to the current drought can also contribute to this problem. Please contact my office at 972-335-5520 with your address so we can check your neighborhood for any other possible problems. Thanks for your inquiry.
