What are the noise ordinances for businesses in industrial zones? On more than one occurrence over the past few weeks, there has been significant noise at BMC off N. County around 4:30 AM. Thanks.

Section 54-86 of the city ordinances states
The purpose of this article is to make it unlawful for any person or entity to make, cause to be made, or allow any unreasonably loud and disturbing noise of such a character, intensity and duration as to be detrimental or offensive to the ordinary sensibilities of the citizens of the city, and/or which renders the enjoyment of life, health or property uncomfortable or interferes with the public peace and comfort.

Probably what is happening is BMC is loading their lumber trucks and preparing them for deliveries to various job sites. Those deliveries are made early, typically arriving at job sites as contractors are arriving to work. If the noise is bothering you and causing a disturbance, contact Frisco Dispatch at 972-292-6010 and an officer will be sent to the location to speak to them.
