Me and a lot of other people are curious as to why the hockey rink near the old police station is being torn down?

What are the new plans and what happened?

The rink was removed to allow room for the construction of the basketball courts that you see in place. This was done as a portion of a project to update the park. It is also anticipated that in the near future there will be other improvements such upgraded lighting, fencing, drinking fountain and irrigation improvements.
