Please tell me that the ugly/tall utility lines will be buried adjacent to the new Preston rd. construction north of Main st. Preston is an important road in Frisco and I hope the designers realize the aesthetics value.

The utility lines along Preston Rd north of Main Street will remain aerial lines. We understand the concern with the aesthetic value; however we are very limited in our options.

Preston Road is a state-maintained highway. State laws prevent requiring installations to be buried. In addition, even if the utilities were buried now, there would be no guarantee that future aerial utilities would not be installed. Frisco and other local cities have investigated our options in these cases.
