On Saturday July 24th Little Elm PD was at the intersection of US380 and FM423 writing tickets to those whose used the shoulder of westbound US380 to pass cars and make the right turn onto southbound FM423. Since this area is within Frisco City limits is there a jurisdiction agreement with other Police Departments?

I checked with the Little Elm Chief and he says they have not issued any citations at that intersection. He did say that they sometimes stop cars on 423 from violations that occur in their jurisdiction, but don't get the car stopped until they turn south on 423. Maybe thats what you witnessed.

Why can't we just get a turn lane???? Considering the speeds on 380, it seems like this would be the right thing to do.

I would assume that with the widening of FM423, that the intersection will see improvements as well. I don't know if a turn lane is planned or not, as it is a State Highway.
