When will John Hickman Parkway be connected between Dallas North Tollway feeder and Preston Road? There looked to be some recent clearing of trees for this construction between Parkwood and the Tollway.

Thanks for your help.

The recent tree clearing work along the future alignment of John Hickman between the Dallas Parkway and Parkwood was associated with construction of a sanitary sewer line. The City does not currently have plans to design or construct John Hickman. That section will likely be initiated by the development of adjacent parcels of land.

Roads with proper names typically honor an area family that owned the land before the town of Frisco began growing. In this case, the farmland that the road now passes through was purchased by John Hickman Wade in 1899 and the land has been farmed by his descendants (the Wade Family) ever since.
