How can one submit a recommendation for a traffic light to the city? Are there any plans for a traffic light at Woodsboro Way & Eldorado?

We have this intersection identified as a potential signalized intersection in the future. We will schedule counts and conduct a warrant study to see if the location is warranted at this time. It may be that the signal is not warranted now, but could be in the future as the area gets developed. Volumes on Woodsboro may drop after the Eldorado construction because Frisco Street is going to be extended north of Eldorado and connected to Newton. This will provide the neighborhood with another way out of the area. A traffic signal is being built at Frisco and Eldorado with the Eldorado construction job.

I was wondering, at the Eldorado Teel intersection, if small section of Teel, north of Eldorado will be completed into two lanes in both directions as part of the current Eldorado project. It appears they started it but never finished it the rest of the way.

The 650' section of Teel, north of Eldorado, will not be constructed with the Eldorado project. Eldorado is a Texas Dept. of Transportation project and the state will not construct the city street. The City of Frisco has bid a project to complete the 2 northbound lanes of Teel. We expect construction to begin in the next 2 to 3 weeks and take 3-4 months to complete.

Will the city be opening all the Teel lanes on the south side of Eldorado while they are fixing the north side?

TxDOT's contractor shifted traffic on Monday November 9 with southbound traffic on Teel Parkway switching back to the proper side of the median. This eliminated the temporary crossover in front of the Eldorado Montessori School. The switch should improve normal operations to the intersection of Eldorado Parkway and Teel Parkway where northbound and southbound traffic will now flow on opposite sides of the median. A period of time between when the concrete is placed and opening the roadway to traffic is necessary to allow the concrete to gain enough strength.
