Any explanation as to why almost every Frisco residents, July water bill increased anywhere from $30-$100 over June bill? Rate increase? Catch up time? Yes, it was hotter then normal, but no one seems to think they watered that much more?

The City has received several concerns regarding the July/August utility billings for some customers being higher than past months. The City last increased utility rates in December 2008. In our review, we did have longer billing cycles for several areas of town. Our normal procedure is a billing range between 28 and 32 days. We had several areas that were billed for 35 days of service. We hope that this helps explain the increase in your bill, if you still feel that your bill is high, we provide several options:

-Call our Public Works Department 972-292-5800 and request an inspection of the city meter to determine if there may be a leak. Public Works will also schedule a free irrigation audit on request.
-Call the Utility Billing Division 972-292-5575 to request a billing consumption review. Customer Service Representatives will analyze the history consumption reports with each customer which provides average consumptions and analysis.

So theoretically if we were billed for 35 days on last month's bill (my bill was almost $100!), then next month's will theoretically be significantly lower as it will be less days, correct?

The billings in September for the late July and August service range from 28 33 days.
