I have seen a few restaurants in The Colony where a grade of A - F is posted near the register or front door. The grading is done by the city health inspectors (I think) and serves as a warning to potential patrons of the establishment before they dine. This is very popular in California and I was excited to see it in The Colony.

Will/can Frisco adopt the same program?

Here is a link showing all inspected restaurants in the DFW area:

The City of Frisco has adopted the State Minimum Standards as well as a modification of the health inspection form. The scoring system does not directly translate into a letter. We have considered many options regarding posting of scores. Currently, food establishment scores can be found on our Restaurant Inspections web page at: http://reports.friscotexas.gov/. The page is also undergoing enhancements and until all service is performed, food establishment categories may be temporarily not found. We encourage you visit regularly as the site updates hourly.

What do the notations of 'completed' and 'approved' indicate on the Restaurant Inspections web page?

Non-numeric results are for actions that did not require scoring. The web site shows historical actions under each permitted establishment, not only full Health Inspections. Other actions include: Follow up; Reinspection; Courtesy Health Inspection. Results such as 'Completed' and 'Approved' indicate for example that a Follow up on 1 item previously flagged was performed. Please contact us directly with questions regarding a specific establishment.
