The new "Welcome To Frisco" message in front of IKEA that both announces our great city and welcome drivers on the NB Tollway to Frisco is a great addition. However, when driving at night, it's difficult to see. Has there been any thought given to adding some lights in order to illuminate that welcome sign? I think that would be a great enhancement and would allow people to read that welcome message 24 hours a day. Thanks.

This entry feature project does include up lighting that was turned on in the last few days. We are aware that the lighting needs to be adjusted to improve the illumination and this will occur within the week.

Now that the SH121 and Legacy intersection is being completed what are the plans for replacing the welcome monumnets that were destroyed during the construction.

The signs at this intersection do not have any construction plans that were available for TxDOT to "reconstruct". We worked with the HOA and developer to locate the original plans but were unable to locate them to rebuild the monument sign. As a result, TxDOT can not rebuild the monument. This was discussed with the HOA and developer that originally built the monument sign.

The sign also would be have only temporary in its reconstruction. When Legacy is widened to 6 lanes, the monument would have been required to be removed as part of the widening project.
