Can someone tell me if there are any city ordinances that would prohibit a motorist from using neighborhood streets as a cut-through?

Mr. Everly,

There is no ordinance that prohibits cutting through neighborhoods. There are signs posted that prohibit turns into neighborhoods in an attempt to stop certain places from being used as a cut through. The most recent example is the "No Left Turn" sign at Dallas Parkway and Cobb Hill. Each morning several vehicles make a left turn and use that neighborhood as a cut through to avoid the light at Dallas Parkway and El Dorado. Now that the sign is posted, these vehicles are committing the offense of disregarding a traffic control device.
