I wanted to know whether independence pkwy and coit rd are going to be further developed to make the roads 2 lanes on either side and aid the traffic coming from willowbay location onto Hwy 121

Independence is currently being widened to 4 lanes from just north of Main to SH 121. The section of Coit Road from Main to Eldorado is currently unfunded. We are looking at several alternatives to fund this road as soon as possible. I would expect widening to begin in late 2008 or early 2009.

It looks like work is being done to pave Coit RD north of Eldorado PKWY. Can you give any details on this construction?

The paving is occurring as part of development of residential subdivisions adjacent to Coit. The schedule for completion is up to the developer. They will need to complete it before their subdivisions are accepted. At this time, it appears it may be 2 to 3 more months before the 4300 feet north of Eldorado is complete. That will leave nearly 1000 feet left to build before it connects to Panther Creek. We have reviewed subdivision plans that will included the last 1000 feet, but construction has not yet started.
