Is there a reason why there are so few gas stations in far west Frisco? Are there plans for additional stations in the vicinity?

In the area of Main and Teel, there is exactly one option for fuel - the Kroger on the corner - for several miles in each direction. While I certainly don't want four gas stations on every corner like you see in other sections of the DFW area, a few additional choices would be nice.

Peter,

While we limit the number of corners (2) that can be used for convenience stores with fuel pumps at a major intersection, the developers themselves make the determination about locating stores. Over the last year or so a number of developers have revised their plans to have a bank on the actual corner rather than a store with fuel pumps. There are intersections that are zoned for this type of store but we have not had any new requests during the last 4 or 5 months.
