What is the timetable for widening El Dorado Pkwy between the NDT and 423? Traffic is starting to back up considerably on El Dorado during morning and afternoon drive periods.

Thanks Mr. Knutson for the post. The section of Eldorado Parkway you are referring to is actually FM 2934 and is owned and maintained by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). The City of Frisco in conjunction with Denton County has completed the design plans to widen this section of FM 2934 from 2 lanes to 6 lanes divided. TxDOT's latest schedule is to begin construction early 2007 after they receive Environmental Clearance from Austin, acquire the necessary property to construct the road, and utilities are relocated outside the limits of the proposed construction. The project is anticipated to take 18 to 24 months to complete.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me at (972) 335-5585 ext. 127.

Thanks, Hulon
