My wife noticed a proposal for zoning change sign west of where Teel ends, south of Carraway Dr. in Lone Star Ranch. Can someone provide some details? I had heard the area was off-limits to development. Thanks.

The land that lies at the southern end of Teel Parkway is owned by the US Corp of Engineers and is not open to development. This is where Stewart Creek flows down to meet Lake Lewisville. About 500 feet south of the end of Teel is a site of 330 acres that is proposed to be developed as a gated subdivision. The location of the sign is one point where the property is close to a major thoroughfare to allow for the posting of a notice for the Specific Use Permit request. This request is scheduled to go before the Planning & Zoning Commission on November 22. Thank you for your interest in this notice.
