While there seems to be ample parking provided at Shawnee Trails, many parents who take their children to practice on the fields behind the actual softball fields park across the street at the car wash on College street. There aren't any signal lights there alerting drivers that kids might be crossing the street, and I've seen several accidents almost occur when drivers come thru that area. Would it be possible to have a yellow flashing signal put there, or a crosswalk of some sort?

We do not plan to install a mid block crossing in this area. The parents and their children do have access to the nearby traffic signal that has pedestrian signal indications, pedestrian pushbuttons, and a crosswalk.
We have contacted the sporting organizations that use this area and requested that they encourage parents to use the nearby signalized intersection.
