A builder is pouring a foundation next door to me. I woke up to back-up beeps, pumps running, and diesel engines rumbling at 5:40something AM. I understand getting an early start on the day but this is ridiculous. Are there any rules against this? Who would I call (besides the builder)? Thanks in advance...

This type of activity is covered under the noise ordinance. In a residential setting, they should not be making that type of noise before 7 am or after 10 pm. Anytime you have a complaint of this nature, contact our dispatch center on the non-emergency number 972-335-5505. An officer will be sent to your location.
