I ran across this product while watching HGTV the other night and it seemed like this would be a standard safety requirement for all homes. Has the City of Frisco ever looked into the feasibility of requiring these?

GasBreakers® do for gas service lines what circuit breakers do for electric lines… stop the flow of gas when it exceeds design limits.

The City of Frisco passed an ordinance in July of 2003 requiring installation of Excess Flow Valves on all new construction.

For further information you can contact Donnie Mayfield, Chief Building Official at 972-335-5580.
