For tonight's Planning and Zoning meeting, a preliminary site plan for Roach Middle School is on the agenda. There is some sort of note on the plans referencing the construction of roadway improvements to Independence; however, the note is not legible. It appears it may state "Prop. Pavement by Others". Is this what the note states? By City Ordinances, developers must dedicate their half of the right-of-way, construct a minimum of 2 lanes of pavement, and other roadway improvements (water, drainage, street lighting, sidewalks, etc) when they develop their property. Are these improvements being constructed with this school? Will these required improvements be constructed prior to the school opening?

Two lanes of Independence will be constructed by the opening of the school. The City is coordinating with FISD to get the two lanes built as required by the Subdivision Ordinance.

If you have any additional questions about this project, feel free to contact me at (972) 335-5540 ext 140.
