I would like to know whether this factory is actually operational, and if yes, what are the emissions from the smoke stack?

I think that the smokestack that you are refering to belongs to the Batch Plants along SH 121. Staff has recently researched these uses and found that they are in compliance with existing State and Federal regulations. However, we have requested through a letter from Mayor Simpson that the State agency (Texas Commission on Environmental Quality) responsible for air quality do additional testing just to make sure. If you have any additional questions please do not hesitate to contact me or my staff.
