What is the prognosis on getting Preston widened north of Main? It is getting really hard to get on or off Preston to get into my housing addition. I know it's a long way down the road. Are there any ways to speed this up?

City Staff is working with Txdot to get Preston Road improved north of FM 720. Currently it is not on Txdots 3 year plan how ever bridge improvements will start in the next year.

With the Preston update can you please give us some timeframe on Hillcrest?

On Feb 4 the staff met with Glenn Thurman (the Contractor) to discuss improving his schedule. The contractor has 4 to 6 remaining concrete placements, and traffic control (signs, & buttons). The paving was to be completed in about 2 weeks because of cure time on the concrete and scheduling the traffic control, but the weather has stopped his current progress. After Hillcrest is opened there will still be work on the existing lanes to help improve drainage near Red Cedar and Bo cage. Most of this work will be done under lane closures.
