With the continuing increase in traffic on Preston, is there someway to utilize the center turn lane from Main Street to 380 as a "full use" south bound lane in the morning and a north bound lane in the evening? Seems a shame to have this lane so underutilized during the rush hours.

New Frisco Resident,

An option similar to this was studied by TxDOT and the Texas Transportation Institute for FM 423. It was determined that the reversible lane feature has several safety concerns in a high speed environment like Preston Road. Because of that study and the upcoming reconstruction of Preston, I would not expect or recommend that TxDOT implement this option.
