At the p&z meeting last week, Frisco Heights residents were told that the median openings were already set by Txdot and couldn't be changed. A neighbor called Txdot and was told that Frisco hasn't even asked for any specific openings on Custer between El Dorado and Plum Lane. If that is true, couldn't we now ask for an extra opening so the new developer could gain access to Custer for his development instead of them funneling through Frisco Heights?

Thanks for your help with this.

The City of Frisco and City of McKinney have been working together to locate the medians where they are the most advantages to both cities. Before TxDot will permit the medians both cities are required to agree to the locations. For the City to request a median from TxDot full engineering drawings are required and until a project such as this comes in there are no drawings to submit. Even with is development there is no place to build a median until Custer Road is improve.
