The lights on Coit look great. Nice looking and great illumination.

Question is: Why are the lights white in color vs the orange colored lights used on other streets around town?

Wouldn't the city want a uniform look?

City Council approved the new street light standards several years ago to be consistent with what other cities are going to. That is using a whiter light which provides better illumination and visibility of the road surface for arterial streets. The whiter light also eliminates the discrepancy that the Police Department gets when calls come in and the color of a car is misstated because the orange light can change the appearance of certain shades of color. The orange lights will still be used within residential subdivisions because experience here in Frisco has shown that they appear to be less obtrusive to surrounding residents even though there is no difference in the actual amount of light emitted.

What roads are next for lighting. Is Lebanon on the schedule?

Hi, what progress has been made in the last 16 months regarding street lights? I am aware of Coit and Hillcrest. What does the 07-08 budget have?

Rolater and Lebanon are not started. Is College being considered? Is the priority based on surrounding residential areas and thus improvment on safety?

Thanks.
