It appears the city is installing irrigation in the medians from Legacy, westward. Can you tell me what will be planted in these medians and will this project extend down to Stewart Creek Estates?
When is the projected date of completion?
Thanks

Mr. Warren,

Thank you for your inquiry regarding the median improvements on Lebanon Road, west of Legacy. This project will extend west from Legacy to the last fully completed median (Village Blvd). Improvements will include irrigation, turf establishment (in spring or early summer), and the addition of trees. Weather permitting, the irrigation installation and tree planting should be completed before the end of April. The trees will include live oaks, red oaks, cedar elms, Chinese pistache, and crape myrtles. Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any additional questions.

Sincerely,
Bob Johnson

When will the medians be addressed with trees and lighting from Legacy/Lebanon down towards the front entrance of Cheyenne Crossing?

Dear Bridgett,

Weather permitting, the irrigation installation on the Lebanon medians mentioned above should be completed by mid March (a separate crew will be planting the trees). The irrigation crew will then begin the irrigation installation on the Legacy medians, from Lebanon to Chippewa. This installation should be completed by the end of April. Depending on the actual completion date, trees will either be planted in late spring or next fall. We usually do not plant trees after the end of April. The irrigation crew will also be installing conduit for future street lighting, but the actual lighting installation will be an Engineering Department project. You can contact Hulon Webb in Engineering (HWebb@friscotexas.gov) for more information on the lighting projects timetable.

Please be advised that if our current drought conditions do not improve by April, and additional water restrictions are imposed, turf establishment projects (hydro mulch) and late tree plantings on medians could be delayed until such conditions improve.

Feel free to contact me directly if you have any additional questions.

Sincerely,
Bob Johnson

Bridgett,

The Median Development crew started the irrigation installation today. The project is still scheduled to be completed by the end of April.
