Noticing there are new electrical poles installed on Woodsboro all the way behind Estates of Cobb Hill.
Q#1: Wondering if this is for the soon to be built development on the corner of El Dorado & Tollway's gas station/car wash? There are older electrical poles in the middle of this planned development also.
Q#2: What are the future plans for transitioning from electrical poles to underground wiring? Is this the responsibility of the developer or the city?
Q#3: At the corner of El Dorado & Tollway (headed west) there are old wood electrical poles used to hold up street lights, cameras, and street signs. Will there eventually be a plan in place to replace them with concrete poles?

It is possible that the poles are being relocated in advance of the new development; however, it may just be that the electric company needed to upgrade or expand their coverage in the area.
The City cannot require underground installation. If the developer chooses to pay the additional costs to bury the utilities, it is up to them.
The temporary signals on wood poles will be replaced by permenent signal poles. The permanent poles are metal, but will be painted black to be consistent with all other permanent signal poles in Frisco. The signal project is expected to begin in January and take 4 months to complete.
