My question concerns deliveries at retail strip centers/grocery stores. Is there any type of city ordinance that restricts hours of delivery, idling trucks at the rear of these stores, etc.? This is especially sensitive given that homes often back up to these businesses. Thank you in advance for your prompt response.

With the exception of the new Wal-Mart on Preston, there are no city-wide restrictions regarding hours of delivery or idling of the vehicles. We understand that when a resident purchases a home near an existing or planned retail center, there will be some noise issues. We try to mitigate these impacts by requiring a screening wall along the rear property line of the retail business. Otherwise, we hope the resident realizes issues associated with these businesses.
